Whether you are applying for a #Child Arrangement Order (formerly Residence/Custody/Contact/Access Orders) or making a Financial Application in Divorce ( formerly Ancillary Relief ) there is now somewhere to go to get some initial help with the #Family Court Forms. Deborah Nelson who is involved in offering the free help has 18 years experience as a Family Law Solicitor.

So whether you are a Father, Mother, Grandparent or Husband or Wife separating or divorcing, you are welcome.

Starting on Wednesday 17th January 2016, between 10am and 12 noon we are offering help with preparing your #Family Court Application. You do not need to make an appointment, come and see us at #Mediation East Sussex Offices, Chichester Road, St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex, TN38 9BG. We intend to run these sessions monthly so email us here so that we can keep you informed of future sessions and free litigant in person training.

We are also there to answer initial questions such as:-

Why do I need to attend a MIAM appointment?

Is my case urgent so I can make an application without attending a MIAM?

Am I the Applicant or Respondent?

What do I say in the statement of my case section of the C100 form?

There can be confusion about why people need to attend a MIAM, whether a case is urgent or whether the Domestic Violence exemption applies.

Even after attending a MIAM a person can be left without guidance to make the Family Court Application and prepare the Forms. #Legal Aid is only available in very limited circumstances.

East Sussex is now to benefit from #Free help with Family Court Forms. Whether you live in or around Hastings or St Leonards on Sea you are welcome.
